Do you know an outstanding teacher?
Twin Rivers Unified School District is pleased to participate in the 2017-2018 Teacher of the Year program through the Sacramento County Office of Education.
This program highlights educational innovation, student learning, and the rewards of teaching. The Teacher of the Year process pays tribute to our teaching force, the complexity of challenges that confront our schools, and the need to promote collaboration and teamwork to meet those challenges.
Anyone may submit a nomination form - staff members, students, families, and community members as well as the teachers themselves. Nominations are due to principals, in writing, by Friday, Jan. 20, 2017.
The Teacher of the Year process and form links are available below. Should you have any questions regarding this program, please contact the Communications Department at 916-566-1628.
If you reside in Twin Rivers Unified School District, there is opportunity to submit an application for your child to attend a school of your choice within the district for the 2017-2018 school year.
Applications are available at your current school of attendance or home school and will be accepted until February 15, 2017.
For more information you may contact Enid Scott in the Student Services Department at (916) 566-1600 ext. 50842 or (916) 566-1620.
“Thank you TRUSD for the love ... we are so grateful and humbled by the gifts,” responded student Nani Poloai. “Maybe there really is a Santa Claus after all.”
The volunteers started their day at the Sacramento Food Bank where they picked up donations of fresh fruits and vegetables. Before deliveries began, the buses stopped by the district office to collect gifts for all members of the families that were on the routes.
The gifts were donated and wrapped by central office volunteers.
